Deanfield Hosts Tiki Bar Birthday Party!

A tropical explosion of flavour and colour gave Residents at Deanfield the perfect ingredients for a great tiki bar party this spring.

The team worked hard to set up their bespoke bar, complete with a range of mouth-watering mocktails.

Resident Alice was lucky enough to be celebrating her 77th birthday on the day of the party, so she was treated as the guest of honour.

There were music, games, and prizes to enjoy during the tiki bar celebrations, and everyone had a great time.

Activities Co-ordinator Misbah Afsar said that it was a smashing afternoon.

Misbah said, “Who doesn’t love a tiki bar party?

“We had set up different games including a hook a duck and can knock down for Residents to play.

“Each of our winners got a prize, and there were all sorts of little luxuries to choose from.

“The Residents had the music they love playing, and many of them had a sing-a-long.”

The day was extra special for Alice as she was presented with a birthday cake. 

Misbah said: “Alice’s birthday cake was delicious – it was a chocolate cake with pink icing and looked fabulous.

“We all gathered around to sing ‘Happy Birthday’ to her, and she was chuffed to bits.

“It was a lovely way for her to spend her birthday and for all of us to enjoy a party together.”
