Rutherglen Residents Send Easter Wishes To Local Nursery School
7 April 2021
Kind-hearted Residents at Rutherglen Care Home sent colourful Easter cards to their friends at local nursery Ace Place.
On the run-up to the bank holiday, there were several Easter-themed arts and crafts sessions where Residents got creative.
As well as making Easter bonnets and cards, the group created chicks, eggs and played a themed bingo game.
However, it was the cards for Ace Place that meant the most, as Residents shared their well-wishes with their young friends at the nursery.
Activities Co-ordinator Maureen Thomson said they had received lovely pictures from the nursery.
Maureen said: “We miss the children at Ace Place, who often popped in for visits before the pandemic.
“By making some Easter cards, it was a chance to say hello and send our best to them. We were lucky to get some lovely photos of the children with our cards, and they sent some terrific cards to us as well.”
The fun didn’t stop there as every Residents was gifted a delicious Easter egg to enjoy on the bank holiday Sunday.
Maureen added: “It was a lovely day of celebration and chocolate which really lifted spirits.”
