Elderslie Pub Lunches Go Down A Treat

Elderslie Pub Lunches Go Down A Treat

Heading to a favourite local for a pub lunch is one of life’s pleasures, and Residents at Elderslie have finally been able to indulge again.

They’ve always enjoyed strolling to the nearby pub, The Lord Lounsdale, where the menu contains their favourite foods.

The friendly staff are always happy to welcome Elderslie Residents to join them for a wee tipple and a bite to eat.

However, the pandemic put a stop to their regular visits until this Spring, when Activities Co-ordinator Jacqueline and her Colleagues restarted them.

Jacqueline said: “We know how much the Residents enjoy getting out and about to the pub, so we’ve already taken two groups over to have their lunch.

“It takes about 20 minutes to walk via the cycle path to The Lord Lounsdale, and it’s a safe, pleasant route.

“The staff at the pub always welcome the Residents with open arms, and they make sure everyone is comfortable and well-fed.

“It’s lovely to get back to normality again, and we know the Residents have really enjoyed their visits.”

The pub serves up plenty of crowd-pleasing food, including mixed grills, burgers, fish and chips and pizza.

During a trip at the beginning of April, the Residents treated themselves to beer and wine, and pudding!

Jacqueline added: “It’s funny how we all took lovely lunches like this for granted before the pandemic.

“It’s great to be back in the community and enjoying our time at one of the nicest establishments in the area.”
