Elf Day Fun Raises Money For Alzheimer’s Charity On The Run-Up To Christmas
6 December 2020

Colleagues at Gorton Parks channelled their inner Will Ferrell on the run-up to Christmas – by dressing up for Elf Day.
On 4th December, the team got their elf outfits on for a special day of fun and fundraising, inspiring lots of laughter from amused Residents.
There was a cake sale, a special raffle and karaoke during the day, with window visitors encouraged to buy tickets and make donations to the Alzheimer’s Society.
Gorton Parks was full of music, dancing and merriment as the elves went about their festive business during a busy afternoon.
Elf Day is fast becoming one of the Home’s favourite annual celebrations, said Activity’s Co-ordinator Kirsty Walters.
Kirsty said: “It was a great Elf Day, and we were delighted to be raising money for such a good cause.
“The most important thing for us was making sure the Residents had a great time, and their elves didn’t disappoint.
“Christmas karaoke was a big highlight of the day, as was the cake sale – where we all enjoyed a sweet treat.
“We’re already looking forward to the 2021 celebrations and raising even more money for the Alzheimer’s Society.”
