Christmas Elves Raise Funds For Alzheimer’s Charity at Madeira House 

Colleagues at Madeira House got in the spirit of Christmas for charity this year – by dressing up as elves.

On the 4th December 2020, the big-hearted team all donned elf costumes as part of a fundraising event for chosen charity, the Alzheimer’s Society. 

Elf Day 2020 was packed with fun events devised by the Activities team, including a ‘Name The Elf’ competition, a Christmas quiz, ‘Best Fancy Dress’ award and a raffle. 

Home Manager Claire Stainton said Residents had great fun as the elves created a magic atmosphere at Madeira House. 

Claire said: “It was a day full of elf-tastic fun and laughter! 

“Given it was the very beginning of December, it helped us all get in the Christmas spirit, and a good time was had by all. 

“It was a bonus that we were able to raise £87 for the Alzheimer’s Society too.”
