Garden Gigs Lift Spirits As Local Singers Entertain Netherton Green
2 April 2021
The Residents of Netherton Green have enjoyed first-class performances from local entertainers performing in their gardens.
Naomi Butherway and Tom Wenlock are both regular visitors at the Home and previously sang at many different special events.
So, with the lockdown rules still in place, both singers have taken the chance to perform safely by staying outside in the garden.
Their incredible renditions of wartime classics, ‘50s and ‘60s tunes and love songs have delighted their audience.
Activities Co-ordinator Karen Winmill said that every time they sing, both Naomi and Tom wow Residents with their talent.
Karen said: “Residents love it when Naomi and Tom perform, they are amazing singers.
“For Valentine’s Day, Naomi sang some beautiful love songs, and St. Patrick’s Day was brilliant with her classic tunes.
“Although they both come with setlists prepared, Naomi and Tom do take requests from Residents – and they love hearing their favourite songs performed live.”
