Generations Unite in Halloween Fun at Parklands Court Care Home
3 November 2023

Residents at Parklands Court Care Home in Bloxwich were in high spirits as they enjoyed plenty of spooky trick ‘n’ treats at this year’s Halloween Party!
There were even a couple of very special little guests whose scary costumes caused a few frights but lots of joy too. 5 year olds, Luna and River, have family who work in the care home so were delighted to wear their outfits and come join in with their senior friends.
Resident Betty Hamper, aged 95, was so happy to see Luna and River – the picture says it all. Betty said “It was beautiful to spend some time with these wonderful children, they made me smile all day.”

The celebrations kicked off with some pumpkin carving, arts and crafts, a Halloween themed quiz and some party games. Residents and staff dressed up and there were lots of Halloween tunes and a sing-song.
Parkland’s Wellbeing Coordinator, Patricia Pruden, said “It was such a wicked day. The fun, laughter and conversation flowed. It was lovely to have the kids visit too and we made a witches cauldron full of goodies and some gourmet milkshakes and chocolates which everyone loved.”

Next on the agenda for Parklands is their impressive annual Remembrance Day Memorial which is on display now and can be viewed at the care home.
