Golfhill Home Manager Selected for Prestigious Leadership Programme

Natalie Lochhead, the Home Manager at Golfhill Nursing Home in Glasgow, has embarked on an extraordinary journey since assuming her role. Her recent nomination for the Queens Nursing Institute of Scotland’s Leadership Development Programme marks a significant milestone in her career.

Natalie’s journey began when she was nominated in November to apply for the esteemed programme. Following a rigorous selection process, she secured her spot, demonstrating her commitment to leadership and excellence in nursing. The QNIS, renowned for its support and development of Scotland’s community nurses and midwives, aims to foster a healthier, kinder, fairer, and greener Scotland.

Last week, Natalie completed her first residential visit to Balbirnie House Hotel in Glenrothes. This experience proved to be transformative as she delved into the intricacies of community nursing, gaining valuable insights and knowledge. The Leadership Programme spans nine months, with the overarching goal of cultivating resilient change-makers within the realm of community nursing across various sectors.

Expressing her gratitude, Natalie shared, “I am honoured to be promoting Social Care Nursing and all the amazing work that happens day in and day out in Nursing Homes all over Scotland. I am committed to showcasing our teams as the true professionals they are.”
