Chef’s Gourmet Birthday Treat Wows Gorton Parks Residents

Residents at Gorton Parks have a new reason to look forward to their birthdays in 2021 – they’ll each get a bespoke gourmet menu from Chef Scott. 

Each birthday girl or boy can pick their favourite foods for Chef Scott to transform into a stylish menu fit for a Michelin judge.

Not only do Residents get to fine dine on their birthdays, but they also get to enjoy restaurant-quality service from Chef Scott too.

He says it’s the perfect way to mark special days and to give each Resident a lovely treat.

Chef Scott said: “I really enjoy cooking up the gourmet menus, and the reaction from Residents has been terrific.

“I used to work as a Chef de Partie at Manchester University, and we ran a restaurant there that provided fine dining. I’ve taken the skills I perfected there and brought them to Gorton Parks.”

Resident Alan was lucky enough to celebrate his birthday soon after the gourmet experience began. He was thrilled to have a special table for one, a handmade birthday cake and a wonderful dinner.

Chef Scott added: “Alan had been craving certain foods, so I made sure to include them.

“I was delighted by his response, and I know the other Residents are looking forward to when it’s their turn to be waited on. 

“It’s just lovely to do something that makes their experience here even better.”
