Halloween Spooktacular Delivers Thrills and Spills At Kingsway

There was nowhere to hide from the ghoulish goings-on at Kingsway House this October, as the Residents enjoyed a spooky Halloween bash.

Ahead of their horror-tastic celebrations, Colleagues and Residents made a Halloween scarecrow and outdoor pumpkin display to get everyone in the mood.

The scene was set for a chilling occasion, complete with a buffet of delicacies such as eyeball jelly, bloody fingers and slime pie.

As the fancy-dress costumes were unearthed and the cobwebs pushed off the karaoke machine, it was time to party.

According to Activities Co-ordinator Hayley Coxon, the fiends and ghouls came out to play.

Hayley said: “It was the sort of occasion where the Headless Monster was grooving along with Austin Powers.

“Everyone got into the Halloween vibe, and there was plenty of cackling and scaring.

“Once we fired up the karaoke machine, Residents enjoyed belting out their favourite hits for the crowd to enjoy. You’ve never heard The Kings of Leon, The Beatles and Queen sound so spooky.”

The party and buffet were just part one of the Halloween fun. Later, Residents played some new party games before settling down to watch the scary movie The Hollow Man on their big screen.

Hayley added: “Who doesn’t love a scary movie at Halloween time? We were hiding behind our cushions!

“The Residents got really into it, and there were plenty of screams and howls. It was a Halloween celebration to remember!”
