Virtual Tours Open Up The World For Residents At Hammerwich Hall
15 July 2021

A series of live-streamed, interactive tours have allowed Residents at Hammerwich Hall to visit stunning locations all across the world.
The virtual tours are conducted live by guides who show visitors around some of the planet’s most exciting and picturesque destinations.
According to Resident Sheila, 90, the tours – which have included the French Riviera – have lifted spirits and given everyone the chance to go on virtual adventures.
Sheila said: “The last year has been really tough, but these tours have made a huge difference to boosting the mood around the place.
“I used to go on holidays with my family to Nice, so it was really special to see it again.”
“It has been so wonderful to take these adventures, and particularly to share that experience with family and friends.”
Tours of the French Riviera and Hampton Court have been popular so far, and Activities Co-ordinator Bev Brown said they are already planning where to visit next.
Bev said: “The beauty of these tours is we can explore places that Residents might never have been able to visit in person.
“It’s been fascinating to virtually move around these incredible locations and be given so much insight into the history and culture of the places.
“It’s really heart-warming to see how much fun the Residents are having as they travel across the world.”
