‘Advinia In Bloom’ Judge Hails Haydale Fairy Trail As A Winner

27 October 2021

Advinia in Bloom Haydale

The imaginative fairy trail at Haydale has come first in this year’s ‘Advinia In Bloom’ contest, beating competition from across the UK.

Residents and Colleagues worked together to create an incredible sensory experience for inclusion in the ‘Best Sensory or Special Place’ category.

While there were many other fantastic entries, judge Simon Morris – Advinia’s Non-Executive Director – said Haydale stood out from the competition.

He was wowed by the detail and complexity of the fairy trail, which led throughout a corridor inside the Home all the way to an outdoor haven.

Along the way, Residents can enjoy 3D installations, an indoor edible garden and bright, beautiful artwork that lifts spirits.

Simon said: “I loved Haydale’s Fairy Trail, especially because they’d considered both the Residents who can go outdoors and those who remain indoors.

“In doing so, they created an experience that everyone could enjoy, and it was marvellous to see the results.”

The prize for winning the ‘Best Sensory or Special Place’ was a £100 gardening voucher, which the team can put to good use as they develop their outdoor space.

In the meantime, Residents and Colleagues can escape to a magical place whenever they feel like it, as Haydale’s fairy trail guides them on.
