Haydale Care Home launched their ‘Corbett Community Cupboard’

Haydale care home are excited to announce that they have opened their ‘Corbett Community Cupboard’ on Tuesday 24th January, where staff, the home residents and local members of the community came together to be a part of this wonderful launch event! Local families are invited to attend every Tuesday between 10am-12pm where the home will be giving them a helping hand by providing food and essentials.
Advinia is delighted to be able to give back to a local community which has supported us throughout the years. After such a successful launch, we look forward to connecting with many more local residents each week. We also welcome the community to attend the event where staff will be happy to answer any questions about Haydale care home.
Customer Relations Manager, Paul Lawson, said “At Haydale we have had incredible support from the local community over the years and so we really wanted to give something back. We want people to know that our doors are always open if anyone wants to pop in for a chat or to find out about all of the different things that we do at the care home. As well as the Foodbank we also host a weekly Drop in Cafe and a Befriending Scheme and we love to engage with our local community at every opportunity.”
He added “Our food bank launch has gone really well thanks to all of the generous donations we have received. We owe a big thank you to all of the lovely Residents who have been involved and they have had great fun organising and preparing. Special thanks also to Isobel and Kirsten, our two amazing and hard working Activity Coordinators, who have made this happen!”
