Supermarket Jack’s Delights Stonedale Lodge Colleagues With Carers Week Donation
13 July 2021

Care Colleagues at Stonedale Lodge in Liverpool were left overwhelmed when local supermarket Jack’s surprised them with gifts galore.
In celebration of Carers Week 2021, Jack’s manager James reached out to Senior Activities Co-ordinator Karen Dransfield to make the gesture.
Jack’s were keen to show their appreciation for the hard work done during the pandemic by donating plenty of personal care products.
According to Karen, the gesture left Colleagues overwhelmed and full of gratitude.
Karen said: “It means the world to us that Jack’s wanted to show their appreciation like this and to continue nurturing our community link with them.
“James invited me to come to Jack’s and go round with store assistant Nicole to pick out products for the team.
“They couldn’t have been more helpful and lovely – it was a wonderful experience.”
Back at Stonedale Lodge, Colleagues were able to choose from a range of gifts.
There were foot masks, face scrubs, hydration serums, body lotions and many other personal care products for both men and women.
Colleagues got together to write a ‘thank you’ email to Jack’s, which Karen has sent to the store.
Home Manager Karen McGrady said the link between the Home and Jack’s is very important to them.
Karen said: “We have a great supportive community network between Jack’s and Stonedale Lodge.
“We thank Jack’s for their continued support of both Colleagues and Residents here.”
