Devoted Audrey and John Reunited In New Kingsway Visiting Pod

The new COVID-safe visitor pod at Kingsway Care Home was the location for a heart-warming reunion in December.

Resident Audrey hadn’t seen husband John face to face since March when the Home locked down.

Although they caught up with regular video calls, it wasn’t the same as John previously visited most days before the restrictions were in place.

So, it was incredibly moving when the couple were finally able to have a visit in the safety of the pod.

Home Manager Cheryl Bailey said Audrey couldn’t stop smiling after John’s visit.

Cheryl said: “It was wonderful that we were able to reunite Audrey and John after all this time – they loved seeing each other.

“It’s so reassuring for loved ones to be able to see Residents face-to-face safely. The visitor pod is so popular that it’s used multiple times a day.

“To see Audrey beaming after John’s visit made all of us feel incredibly emotional.”
