Pedigree Pooch Olive Brings Joy To Goldielea Residents

One extra special visitor has been bringing happiness to Residents at Goldielea Care Home – adorable dog Olive.

The miniature Dachshund belongs to one of the staff and comes in to visit Residents at least twice a month.

Olive hasn’t yet celebrated her first birthday, but she’s already well-trained and beautifully behaved.

The Residents love having Olive sitting on their knee for a cuddle or some playtime in the lounge.

Activities Co-ordinator Sarah Thirlwall said that Olive had won the heart of every Resident.

Sarah said: “Olive is a beautiful dog, and she’s got the loveliest temperament.

“When I tell the Residents that she’s coming for a visit, they get so excited.

“It’s really moving to see how the Resident’s respond to Olive, and a few of them have asked if they can buy her dog treats for when she comes.

“Given what a challenging year this has been, Olive brings plenty of joy to Goldielea. We all adore her.”
