Roberttown Transforms Into Hawaii For Fruity Event

Team Roberttown channelled the spirit of Hawaii for a fun-filled event with fruity surprises.
It all began with a celebration of melon as Colleagues transformed a selection of the fruity favourites into delicious drinks.
They were inspired by International Melon Day to use many different types of melon to provide refreshments for the event, boosting hydration at the same time.
Elsewhere, the team used bright, colourful decorations to create a Hawaiian atmosphere for Residents to enjoy, complete with flower garlands.
The Roberttown Luau featured traditional music from the islands, as well as dancing and hula hooping fun as entertainment.
According to Home Manager Leah Walker, the Residents had a great time.
Leah said: “We might not be able to fly to Hawaii for a Luau right now, but we can bring the holiday spirit to Roberttown.
“It was so much fun to host this party and to see how much the Residents enjoyed the whole event.
“We’re always looking for ways to keep Residents well hydrated, so the melon drinks were a delicious alternative to our usual beverages.
“As for the hula-hooping, all I can say is that we gave it our very best shot!”
