Route 62 Bikers Bring Easter Joy to Roberttown Care Home

10 April 2024

In a heartwarming display of community spirit, Route 62 Bikers embarked on their inaugural Easter egg motorbike run, spreading joy and Easter cheer throughout local neighborhoods. Among their stops was Roberttown Care Home, where residents and staff alike were treated to a special visit from the bikers.

As the rumble of engines filled the air, residents eagerly awaited the arrival of the bikers, their excitement palpable. Watching the procession of motorcycles pull into the care home’s carpark was a sight to behold, filling the atmosphere with an infectious sense of joy and anticipation. The bikers, adorned with Easter-themed decorations, delivered baskets filled with colorful Easter eggs, generously sharing their bounty with the residents and staff. The residents, affectionately dubbed as “EGGcited” by the care home, greeted their visitors with smiles and gratitude, touched by the thoughtful gesture.

As the bikers pulled up, their Easter-themed helmets drew immediate smiles and chuckles from everyone present. Residents couldn’t resist the opportunity to capture the moment, eagerly posing for photos alongside the bikes and their quirky-helmeted riders. The atmosphere buzzed with excitement as residents and staff mingled with the bikers, sharing stories and laughter. For many residents, the chance to interact with the bikers and snap photos next to the colorful machines was a highlight of the day, adding an extra layer of fun and camaraderie to the visit.

Expressing their gratitude, Tue wellbeing coordinator at Roberttown Care Home said, “Thank you so much for your generosity and for making our residents’ day. The joy and excitement sparked by your visit will be cherished for days to come. You’ve truly brought Easter joy to our home.”

The spontaneous photo sessions served as cherished mementos of the day, capturing the joy and connection shared between the bikers and the Roberttown community. As the bikers bid farewell and continued on their journey, they left behind not only Easter eggs but also memories that will be treasured for years to come.
