Rutherglen Ladies Club Celebrates National Kazoo Day with Laughter and Music

The Rutherglen Ladies Club brought joy and laughter to their monthly gathering on Tuesday, as they celebrated National Kazoo Day with a fun-filled musical session. This month’s meeting took a playful turn as members learned to play the kazoo, turning an ordinary afternoon into a delightful symphony of silliness.

The highlight of the event was a spirited performance of Johnny Cash’s classic hit, Ring of Fire, with ladies enthusiastically playing along on their kazoos. The room was filled with laughter as everyone embraced the challenge, creating a cheerful and lively atmosphere.

Josephine Pelosi, a club member, shared her excitement: “That was fun, it’s good to have a laugh.” Her sentiment was echoed by many others who expressed how much they enjoyed the lighthearted activity.

In addition to the kazoo fun, members also sang along to some of their favourite songs, with a few even taking to the floor for a little dance. As always, tea, coffee, and biscuits were served, adding to the warm and welcoming ambiance of the afternoon.

The Rutherglen Ladies Club meets on the fourth Tuesday of every month, offering a space for friendship, fun, and engaging activities. With another successful gathering in the books, members are already looking forward to their next get-together!
