Sleeping Beauty Pantomime Spreads Festive Joy at Rutherglen Care Home

27 November 2023

In a heartwarming event on Monday, Rutherglen Care Home was bathed in festive magic as Shoogalie Road Productions brought the classic tale of Sleeping Beauty to life. The residents and their families were treated to an unforgettable afternoon filled with laughter, cheers, and joyous sing-alongs.

The interactive performance saw Maleficent, the mischievous antagonist, engaging with the audience, creating a special connection with resident Mr. McGuire through a playful running joke. The surprise participation of George Campbell, a spirited family member, added an extra layer of delight to the proceedings.

The enchanting atmosphere that filled the care home left everyone in high spirits, resonating with the true essence of the festive season. As the final curtain descended, the echoes of laughter and the warm ambiance lingered, creating lasting memories for the Rutherglen Care Home community.

This heartening event not only entertained but also fostered a sense of togetherness, lifting spirits and setting the stage for a joyous and festive holiday season within the care home. The Sleeping Beauty pantomime was more than a performance; it was a magical celebration that will be cherished by residents, families, and staff alike for years to come.
