Stonedale Lodge Care Home Residents Enjoy Day of Games and Music Across Houses

Residents at Stonedale Lodge Care Home were treated to a delightful day filled with games, music, and laughter as each house within the home organised various activities to entertain and engage the residents.

The day kicked off at Dalton House with an exhilarating game of bingo. Laughter filled the room as residents eagerly marked their cards in hopes of winning fantastic prizes. From vibrant flowers to charming little perfumes and essential toiletries, the winners were thrilled with their prizes. The atmosphere was contagious as everyone sang along to the tunes playing in the background, creating an ambiance of joy and camaraderie.

Meanwhile, over at Anderton House, residents embarked on a lively round of “Guess Who?” that quickly evolved into an impromptu party. The sounds of Doris Day and Frank Sinatra filled the air, setting the stage for an afternoon of nostalgia and fun. Residents tapped their feet and swayed to the music, with some even taking to the dance floor for a spontaneous boogie. The energy was infectious, and smiles were abundant as residents bonded over their shared love for music and games.

Staff members marvelled at the enthusiasm and enjoyment displayed by the residents throughout the day. “It’s heartwarming to see everyone come together and have such a wonderful time,” said Rafal, a staff member at Stonedale Lodge Care Home. “These moments remind us of the importance of creating opportunities for joy and connection, and today was truly special.”
