Santa Delights Residents With Gifts At The Priory’s Christmas Bash
17 December 2021

Father Christmas paid a special visit to The Priory to hand out gifts to Residents at their festive party.
Team Priory worked hard to put on a Christmas celebration to remember – and there was a surprise cameo from Santa himself.
Residents were thrilled as Santa gave them gifts at the fun-filled gathering. The Christmas-themed activities involved a buffet spread, a sing-a-long, quizzes and a raffle.
Residents Ruth and Linda won the Big Christmas Quiz, with Doreen in the runner’s up position, and a great time was had by all.

Activities Co-ordinator Ken Harrop said that the party had put everybody in the Christmas spirit.
Ken said: “It was fantastic to see the Residents having such a good time at our bash.
“They told us they’d had a great day and had thoroughly enjoyed all the fun and games.
“Kelly, one of our Senior Care Workers, did a great job playing Santa – she was a brilliant sport.
“Everyone worked so hard to make sure it was the best day, and Residents enjoyed every moment.”
The gifts Santa gave out were all donated by members of the local community.
The team had put out a request on Facebook for gift donations as some of the Residents don’t have families to send them Christmas presents.
However, the local community have rallied around so much that the Home has been inundated.
Ken added: “The response from our friends and neighbours has been unbelievable.
“There were enough presents for Santa to give everybody a gift at the party, and still more for Christmas Day itself.
“The children of a local family have made handmade cards for every Resident and donated gifts too.
“The kindness and generosity shown to the Residents have been so heartwarming, and we are so very grateful.”
