It also includes bright and spacious lounges on every floor for socialising.
Dr Hilary Jones said: “I know that Bishop’s Cleeve is open now. How very exciting.
“But those Residents that join, that first Resident, will be able to look forward to those beautiful lounges, those beautiful dining rooms, lovely catering, warm, friendly care and all the different types of care being offered, dementia care, respite care and residential care, it’ll be fab!”
Dr Hilary who appears regularly on Good Morning Britain, and has featured on GMTV since 1993, continues to work as a GP for the NHS.
He sent the good luck message via video especially for the new Home opening on April 14th.
He added: “Looking around, the video pictures I have seen – I think I might just put my name down right now to come and stay there one day in the future.”
The home, just four miles from the popular town of Cheltenham, includes elegant ensuite rooms as well as a social room offering space for cinema nights, social activities and other events. Residents can also enjoy bit of gentle pampering via the in-house hair salon offering a welcome and warm retreat.
Customer Relations Manager, Tommy Fellows said that he was delighted by the response the opening had from the community as well as other celebrities with local connections.
These include Cheltenham-born Eddie the Eagle and local man and Emmerdale star James Moore who plays Ryan Stocks in the popular TV show. Both have sent welcome messages to the new Home.
“It’s wonderful to finally be opening the doors of this beautiful Home and see our first Resident settle in so well, making this a Home of their own.
“We cannot wait to welcome more Residents and provide them with the best level of quality care possible.”
The interior of the Home has also been captured by superior drone footage which was steered by a pilot providing a stunning tour of the home.
Home manager Kim Mulford said: “We have recruited a top-quality team who will provide superb care for each or our Residents here at Bishop’s Cleeve.
“It is very important to us that we listen carefully to the needs of our Residents and families to ensure everyone can enjoy this next step of their lives.”
