Woodfield Grange Hearts Win Prizes In Valentine’s Competition
22 February 2022

A heart-warming competition inspired Residents at Woodfield Grange to write moving love notes to their nearest and dearest.
Ahead of their Valentine’s Day party, Activities Co-ordinator Julia Myers invited Residents to pay tribute to the people that mean the most to them.
Residents could choose to dedicate their love heart notes to whomever they wished, in the hope of bagging a prize.
Home Manager Lynn Hart then had the difficult task of choosing the winners.
Julia said: “The Residents wrote some really beautiful notes to the people they love.
“Some of them are widowed, which made their words even more moving.
“What shone through is that there’s been so much love in the lives of the Residents, and they enjoyed looking back at the happy memories they shared.”
On Valentine’s Day itself, Julia and her Colleagues prepared a lovely spread for the Residents at their romance-themed party.
Woodfield Grange Resident Brian was the only gentleman amongst a room full of ladies, so he swapped tables during each course to share the love.
Julia joked: “Brian has been saying for weeks how he couldn’t wait to wine and dine the ladies!
“He had a great time, and so did his dinner dates – there was a lot of fun and laughter in the room.”
