Woodstock Care Home Shines Bright as Staff Named Finalists at Prestigious National Awards

Woodstock Care Home is celebrating national recognition as multiple team members have been shortlisted across two major award events, including the highly esteemed Stars of Social Care Awards and the newly launched Dementia Care Awards.
These awards honour the most dedicated, compassionate, and inspiring individuals working in the social care sector — and this year, Woodstock is proud to have a total of seven finalists across a wide range of categories.
Stars of Social Care Awards – Care Home Finalists
Taking place on 21st June 2025 at the London Marriott Hotel Regents Park and hosted by ITV’s Josie Gibson, the Stars of Social Care Awards pay tribute to those who go above and beyond in care homes across the country.

Each of these incredible individuals has been nominated for their unwavering commitment, compassion, and ability to bring positivity and joy to the people they care for.
Ellen Sandell, proud finalist for The Head of People Award, shared:
“I feel very privileged to be in a position to make a positive impact for my residents. I’m so proud of my team, the work we do and the things we achieve together.”

Sarah Burrell, nominated for The Awesome Ancillary Worker Award, said:
“I’ve worked at Woodstock for eight years, taking pride in my work with residents’ personal clothing, sharing chats and cups of tea, and offering support wherever I can. The most rewarding part is interacting with our residents.”

Louise Godin, also a finalist, reflected on her journey:
“Supporting residents through both everyday routines and meaningful moments has been incredibly rewarding. Balancing work and university hasn’t always been easy, but it’s confirmed my passion for care.”

Dementia Care Awards Finalists
Set for 19th June 2025 at Hilton London Bankside, the inaugural Dementia Care Awards — hosted by Care Talk — will honour excellence in dementia care across the UK.

Naomi Daglish, nominated in both award events, brings joy and innovation to her role every day:
“I’ve worked in dementia care for eight years and now serve as the Lead Happiness and Wellbeing Ambassador. I absolutely love my role and always strive to give residents a reason to smile.”
