CARE FOR YOU

Person-centred care
Compassion and empathy are at the heart of person-centred care, which is why we believe it’s the best approach. Residents are treated as the individuals they are, so their wishes and decisions are respected at every stage. We see care as a collaboration between Residents, their loved ones and our team.
Emotional wellbeing is as important as physical wellbeing and can have a profound impact on health. Our team work to meet that emotional wellbeing is support as well as spiritual, nutritional and any other needs. We aim to empower Residents to live the lives that will bring them joy and security.

Living life to the full
Our Care Home in Dudley has a packed activities schedule, so Residents always have plenty of things to look forward to. The Activities Team look to engage with sessions that stimulate the mind, move the body and offer opportunities to socialise. We encourage Residents to keep up their favourite hobbies and try new things.
Residents’ favourite activities include quizzes, baking, light gardening, bingo, arts and crafts and board games. We have musical and reminiscence sessions, which are therapeutic for Residents living with dementia. Plus, we enjoy close connections with local community groups, who often come and visit us. If Residents want to get out and about to local attractions, our team will support them.

Dining and nutrition
Residents at Ryland View enjoy a healthy, nutritious and delicious menu every day. Our on-site chefs prepare dishes from fresh, seasonal produce, ensuring that there are plenty of choices available. There is a weekly rotating menu, so Residents get to experience a wide variety of dishes every month.
When Residents arrive, the kitchen team will meet with them to discuss their food preferences. During the meeting, Residents can let us know their favourite foods and dishes, any dietary requirements or cultural needs that must be taken into account. We invite regular feedback, so Residents can let us know which dishes they enjoy most and request new options.

The B Happie Mission
Our mission to promote happy residents and happy staff is underlined by our groundbreaking ‘B Happie Charter’. We achieve these values by conducting person centred activities and events with a whole home approach, by recognising and appreciating the amazing work that our teams do and by prioritising mental health and wellness.
