Craigbank Gardeners Get Creative With Planter Transformation

The outdoor space at Craigbank Care Home has been brought to life by an intrepid team of Residents and Colleagues gardeners.

Using plants, flowers and paint, the group transformed some disused items into new planters that look terrific.

The colourful designs won Craigbank second place in the ‘Best Container/Hanging Basket’ category at this year’s ‘Advinia In Bloom’ competition.

According to Home Manager Kathleen Glasgow, the results have been enjoyed by Colleagues and Residents all summer long.

Kathleen said: “It was terrific to get our team together to create this remarkable transformation in our grounds.

“I know the Residents who took part had a great time working on the containers, and they’ve really elevated our outdoor space.

“We even got a personalised wood planter with ‘Craigbank’ carved on it, which is very special indeed.

“Well done to everyone involved with your success in the ‘Advinia In Bloom’ competition.”
