Netherton Green Residents Win NAPA T-shirt Design Competition!
10 October 2021

The National Activity Providers Association (NAPA) has named Netherton Green the winner of their national ‘Design A Tea Dance T-shirt’ Competition.
NAPA set a challenge for people across the country to come up with designs that define an era – and loved Netherton Green’s entry.
Residents Gwyneth and Jean worked with Activities Co-ordinator Karen Winmill on the design, which featured a couple dancing and musical notes.
The ladies were delighted to discover they’d taken first place.
Gwyneth, 91, said: “It was lovely to be able to complete the design, and then very exciting to hear that we’d won the competition.”
According to Karen, one of the best things about winning is that they’ve helped raise funds for NAPA.
Karen said: “Our tea dance t-shirt went on sale online, and all profits made went to NAPA and the tremendous work they do.
“We had a lot of fun coming up with ideas and bringing our design to life. NAPA inspire so many fantastic activities, so it’s brilliant to be involved.”
NAPA is running the #NAPACalendarComp all year, where each month, they set a competition and give participants a new theme to work with.
Netherton Green won their ‘Design A T-shirt competition, which coincided with London Fashion Week.
