Woodstock Care Home Shines Bright with Eight Finalists at the Stars of Social Care Awards 2023!

Congratulations to our eight amazing colleagues at Woodstock Care Home who have been shortlisted as finalists for THE STARS OF SOCIAL CARE AWARDS 2023!

The glittering annual event shines a light on the stars of social care and the final, hosted by ‘This Morning’ presenter Josie Gibson, is on Saturday 17th June at London Marriott Hotel.

We could wax lyrical all day about how awesome you guys are but here’s the very much shortened version!!

Ceri McBride – Senior Care Assistant

Nominated for THE HEAD OF PEOPLE AWARD
Ceri has worked at Woodstock for 20 years and always goes that extra mile to ensure that the wellbeing and health of the residents is first priority. She is someone who leads by example, is a fountain of knowledge and and her experience is invaluable to the team.

Laura Reeve – Health Care Assistant

Nominated for THE NEW TO CARE AWARD
Laura has only worked in care for 1 1/2 years but you’d think she’d been doing it all her life! She loves to make the residents smile and she is now a ‘buddy’ to any new colleagues. Her amazing attitude and high standards make her a very popular member of the team.

Neshie Alamo – Deputy Manager

Nominated for INSPIRATIONAL SENIOR CARE HOME WORKER
Neshie has been at Woodstock for 2 1/2 years. Her genuine and caring nature and her complete commitment to the role are truly inspirational. She is a very popular and supportive colleague and people just love to work for her and with her.

Patricia Sibley – Health Care Assistant (nights)

Nominated for INSPIRATIONAL CARE HOME WORKER AWARD
Throughout her 19 years at Woodstock Patricia’s standards of care have been both inspirational and incredible. She puts the residents at the heart of everything she does and takes great pride in her role which makes her a shining example to all of her colleagues.

Robert Soanes – Maintenance Operative

Nominated for THE AWESOME ANCILLARY WORKER AWARD
During his 13 years at Woodstock Robert has gone above and beyond to help everyone in the home. He is not only hard working, but also caring and friendly and he became a key worker to one of the residents and supported them to assist with maintenance tasks.

Tina Mulligan – Laundry Assistant

Nominated for THE AWESOME ACCILLARY WORKER AWARD
Tina has been at Woodstock for an amazing 28 years! She puts so much effort and commitment into every single task she performs and is such a valuable team member and colleague. She’s lots of fun and can often be seen joining in and dancing with residents.

Penny Brewer – Senior Care Assistant

Nominated for THE INSPIRATIONAL SENIOR CARE AWARD
Penny has been working at Woodstock for 9 years, and quickly went from being a carer to a senior carer by showing everyone her great work ethics. Through relentless dedication and continuous skill development, Penny emerged as a shining senior carer, consistently demonstrating unwavering determination and and passion for her role. Her colleagues consider her a true role model, regularly expressing their heartfelt appreciation for the constant support they receive from Penny.

Chris Stone – Care Assistant

Nominated for NEW TO CARE AWARD
Chris has exceeded all expectations in just 6 months that he’s been at Woodstock. He joined our team in the care department with the desire to make a positive difference in someone’s life, and he is undoubtedly fulfilling that aspiration. His passion for learning how to deliver the highest quality of care to our residents is evident, and he consistently goes above and beyond to ensure their happiness. We eagerly anticipate what the future holds for him.
