Welcome to Hammerwich Hall Care Home in Burntwood, where we provide the very best person-centred care for Residents who have a variety of different care needs.

We’re part of a warm and welcoming community and we were delighted to be the first Care Home to join the local Places of Welcome initiative by Lichfield Council. As the 100th venue to join the scheme we’re proud to be doing our bit to extend a friendly welcome to all people, whether that’s for afternoon tea in our vintage tea room, or just to enjoy our landscaped gardens, Hammerwich Hall welcomes all.

An impressive building, located in a tranquil setting, Hammerwich Hall is just under four miles away from the historic city of Lichfield city centre, with its beautiful medieval cathedral and places of interest. Conveniently located with good links to Walsall and Wolverhampton, we’re a popular choice for families in the area.

Set in stunning grounds, Hammerwich Hall is a beautiful place to live. The original Hall has been extended and modernised in a sympathetic way to preserve many of its original features such as the high, corniced ceilings in the dining room. There’s plenty of space for Residents to socialise with friends or participate in an activity within our four unique lounges, one of which is a vintage tea room.

From the moment a Resident arrives we want them to feel at home and part of our family, so they are encouraged to personalise their room with favourite possessions and small items of furniture. Many of our rooms have garden and we encourage Residents to get outside and enjoy the fresh air and sunshine as much as possible.

Commitment to Quality

At all our care homes, we have aligned and agreed our strategic goals to define what we want our organisation to achieve.

CQC inspected our service in 2019 and at that time rated the home ‘good’.

Since this inspection, a huge amount has changed within the home. We recommend that you contact the home to find out what changes are in place now. Family feedback and reviews in 2020, 2021, 2022,2023, 2024 and 2025 to date has been fantastic with many excellent reviews for the care, service and team members.

care home activities

Living life to the full

Our Home is always a hive of activity and social events, thanks to our dedicated Activities Coordinator who ensures all Residents have the opportunity to take part in their favourite pastimes. Whether it’s our brain teaser quizzes, bingo or a gathering with friends for afternoon tea in our vintage tearoom, there’s always something to enjoy.

Residents can also indulge in a spot of pampering in our stunning hair salon. Decorated with images and throwbacks to the 1940s, Residents can reminisce on their favourite fashions and styles of the era whilst we help them to look and feel good.

social wellbeing

Nutrition and dining

Food is a vital part of wellbeing, and at Hammerwich Hall we pride ourselves on serving a varied and well balanced menu that helps Residents get the most out of life. Our chefs take into account Residents’ likes and dislikes and serve a selection of delicious and nutritious dishes across three meals a day. Our food is freshly prepared, using seasonal ingredients wherever possible and we regularly check-in with Residents to ensure they are happy with the selection on offer.
